From May 2015 the area of the former black coal mine Hlubina has also been opened as anintegral part of the old industrial complex.
A new art quarter has emerged from the old buildings and aims at education in humanities and artcrafts. The former operational and administration buildings have become a multi-genre, culturalcentre with cinemas, music rehearsal rooms and recording studio, presentation spaces, studios,presentation rooms or dance rooms.Many years closed mine domain has come to life again by work although in manner different to thatof a pitman. Hlubina has become a hotbed for humanities and culture, platform for aspiring andtalented people that seek background for their work – whatever it is – craft, art … They have been coming here for education, culture and entertainment. The technical monument haslivened up.
